Patrick Campbell is the Founder & CEO of ProfitWell (recently acquired for $200M by Paddle), a software that improves your retention and monetization automatically through subscription intelligence. In our conversation, Patrick touches on his background in the NSA and how it inspired him to build profiles on competitors, what his profiles consist of, and how he uses them (including a fun story on how he was able to stop the fundraising of a number of his competitors). Lots of in-depth, scrappy examples of collecting and taking action on competitive intel in this episode. And if you're patient, you'll hear me nervously pitch Patrick at the end on a competitive intel service that I've been noodling on.
