Overpacking is a common issue for riders, and the art of packing only what you really need is refined through thought, trial and practice. Experience alone won’t teach, unless you consciously recognize what didn’t work well, then imagine and attempt new methods or procedures to improve. This is about reducing all load including weight, bulk and complexity. But before you even start thinking about reducing your load, there’s another key component that you need to consider first.
