For a trending topic, burnout guards it's secrets well. In this episode, we talk about how burnout and stress are different. Learn how to tell if you just have a few symptoms or if you are in full on burnout. And finally, why taking time off isn't the fix you think it will be.

  1. Stress is burnout's gateway drug. Chronic stress, given the right conditions leads you there one shaky step at a time.
  2. Burnout isn't about how much you have to do. It's about how meaningful, appreciated and supportive your work environment is.
  3. Although exhaustion can be a symptom of burnout, you can't sleep your way out of it. You have to make changes to your lifestyle and working conditions to recover.
  4. Don't be a burnout dropout. While your first instinct might be to escape, focusing on uncertainty will just fuel the fire.
