Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the devastating fires of this past week. One silver lining has been the immediate offers of assistance from other British Columbians. There are several ways to help but if you have the means to provide financial support, the BC Wildfire Recovery Fund addresses the immediate needs of those affected, please check them out: https://uwbc.ca/campaign/wildfires/ Another way you can help is to keep your plans in place or consider heading up to the Okanagan and other areas that were once under a travel ban. Our show this week can help with those heading to the Penticton area. Paige Schulz from Visit Penticton lists the exciting events coming up in the region and we hear from Laughing Stock Vineyards, Abandoned Rail Brewing Co., Creek & Gully Cider and Upper Bench Winery & Creamery, all located on the Naramata Bench, on what they offer to visitors and the stories behind their unique products.
