Zoë Latzer is the Curator and Director of Public Programs at the Institute of Contemporary Art San José (ICA San José).
Latzer’s approach to curation focuses on world-building through the installation of immersive exhibitions that provide audiences with sensory experiences. Through her work, Latzer hopes to create a platform for artists whose artwork addresses underrepresented narratives through lived experiences and personal histories.
In this conversation, we discuss Latzer’s love for nature, her favorite artworks, the science of sad songs, and her current exhibition at ICA San José, a collaboration with Montalvo Arts Center.
