On today’s episode, we are discussing a man that has little association with New Japan Pro Wrestling. In fact, there was never a time where this man was contracted with New Japan. We are talking about one man who was with All Japan Pro Wrestling from 1992 to 2000, then joined Pro Wrestling Noah where he still competes. By 2003 he was a 5-time tag team champion and a one-time GHC Heavyweight Champion. In our present day, he’s the current KO-D Openweight Champion for DDT. It’s Mr. Blue and White, Mr. Christmas himself, Jun Akiyama.

The G1 Climax is New Japan Pro Wrestling's elite summer tournament. Not everyone gets an opportunity to compete in the G1 Climax. Some wrestlers never appear, while some compete year in and year out. Every other week, host Ryan Neitzey will discuss the run of those wrestlers that have only competed in this exclusive tournament only once.
