För en ung sångare kan tävlingar vara ett sätt att nå de berömda tiljorna. Veckans gäst, sopranen Christina Nilsson, är en av få svenska sångare som vunnit pris i Operalia. 2019 erhöll hon tredje plats vid denna stora internationella tävling och belönades även med Birgit Nilsson Prize. Dessutom vann hon 2017 the Renata Tebaldi International Voice Competition och lyckades samma år nå finalen i tävlingen Neue Stimmen.
