This week, Wayne Kimmel interviewed Yao Williams, VP of Global Brand Partnerships at ESL Gaming, on the SeventySix Capital Sports Leadership Show.
ESL Gaming, which was recently sold to Savvy Gaming Group for $1 billion, is a leading esports company that has shaped esports and gaming innovation globally across the most popular video games for more than two decades.
Williams has over a decade of experience in sports and gaming, having worked for the Cleveland Indians, the New York Yankees, and the NBA. During his time at the NBA, he worked on partnerships with companies such as Diageo, Sun Life, Kumho Tire, and others.
Prior to ESL, Williams was the Head of International Business at A1 Partners and also worked in Business Development for City Football Group across China and Hong Kong. Aside from his role at ESL Gaming, Williams serves as an adjunct lecturer at Georgetown University.
