The insufferably chipper enthusiasm of the early-to-rise Tom and Barbara drives the Leadbetter's to distraction. Compromise is needed, if the Goods are to keep up the decade long loan of Margo's nutcrackers.

Heading to bed ludicrously early to match their early-morning routines, the Goods find the allure of midnight board games too much to resist and end up tired and grumpy. It's the episode where a whistling passer-by gives Tom a taste of his own chirpy medicine!
