Another day, another lawless act by the Obama regime, this time the release of five Gitmo detainees in exchange for Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who has been held in Afghanistan since June 30, 2009. Was Sgt. Bergdahl actually captured, or, as some strong evidence suggests, did he willingly walk away from duty? Does that matter? Does it matter that, once again, Barack Obama violated a duly-enacted Congressional statute, which requires that he give 30 days notice to Congress prior to transferring prisoners from Gitmo. The One acknowledges that he broke the law, but says it doesn't matter because he issued a signing statement when he signed the law last year, declaring the notification unconstitutional. And he should know, of course, as a "former Constitutional law professor," right? Ok, he was an adjunct lecturer who only got into law school owing to affirmative action, but that aside, where are the screams and gnashing of teeth from those who were so outraged over Pres. George W. Bush's use of signing statements? I can't help but notice that while W asserted that he would ignore aspects of Congressional enactments to protect the American public from terrorism, B.Hussein does so to release 5 detainees deemed "high risk" in "08 to obtain the release of a guy who, three days before going missing stated in an email to his parents "“I am ashamed to be an American. And the title of US soldier is just the lie of fools,” he concluded. “I am sorry for everything. The horror that is America is disgusting.” I guess reading that last sentence you can see why Barack Obama has a soft spot in his heart for this guy. Jay Carney's had enough of being a paid liar for the Regime. What did Jay's successor, Josh Earnest have to do with the Benghazi coverup?
