I play a short clip from Zig Ziglar where he describes the depth of foundations on skyscrapers. For a massive building to stand tall and not fall over amidst high winds and shifting earth, it’s foundational structure, what is built under the surface, is immense. For all of us, life has hardship and challenge. If you have a beating heart and interact with life at all here is heartache and sadness. What keeps you from being knocked over? I posed this question my podcast audience, “What foundational reason(s) keeps you from completely falling down? What keeps you striving and from giving up?” If you expect to hear big, broad statements like God and family, you will not. People were pretty specific and what comes out as Tom Ziglar and I talk through it is a core thread that is incredibly insightful.
