On our first episode of “Brains Behind AI” we chat with Jonathan Mugan, a principal scientist at Deumbra, Co-founder of AI company Deep Grammar, advisor to Kung Fu AI, and author of “Curiosity Cycle”, a book for educators and parents on how to prepare our children to be lifelong learners. Working for the Department of Defense at Deumbra, Jonathan is determined to develop robots who understand our world the way human children do, all in all, encoding what developmental psychologists have found in the way humans naturally act. We talk to Jonathan about discovering innovative technologies to build in fundamental concepts, then using AI to fill the gaps in between concepts. He also has massive involvement in the gaming industry, building interesting non-player characters that play well with different functions every single game. Jonathan is not only taking the AI world by storm, but revolutionizing the way people play video games. Make sure to tune in to hear more about Jonathan’s latest ventures, his studies behind AI, and his goal to build AI General Intelligence - a feat yet to be accomplished by anyone.
