We went to that all-night diner to talk about the plan and Richie and— the guys were arguing over what to use their one quarter for to play on the jukebox and as they were going at it, a song was playing that I knew but that you didn’t. Or, at least, you didn’t like it if you did know it. And I was tapping my foot in time and my leg was bouncing the bench we were sharing and you snapped at me to stop and then I snapped back and Pete snapped at the guys and basically all of us were in a terrible mood that started with you losing your patience.

That song. There’s a place mentioned in that song. I’ll be there in two weeks. Meet me there or don’t. I…it’s not that I don’t care. I just—I can’t be responsible for you, anymore. You have to make it on your own.
