Is Yeshua (Jesus) identified in the Old Testament? Judaism teaches the death of the righteous brings atonement to the world. According to the Zohar: "As long as Israel dwelt in the Holy Land, the rituals and the sacrifices they performed [in the Temple] removed all those diseases from the world; now the Messiah removes them form the children of the world (2:212a). Sandhedrin 98b - refer to Isaiah 53:4 as talking about the Messiah) Scriptures from the Tanakh that prove the divinity of the Messiah: Genesis 3:15, 22; Genesis 11:6-7; Joshua 5:13-15; Exodus 3:2-6; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 7:14; 9:6; 11:1-3; 44:6; 48:16-17; Psalm 45:1-7; 110:1-4; Daniel 7:13-22; Proverbs 30:4; Zechariah 14:1-4 The Hebrew word used for "one" in Deuteronomy 6:4 is echad which means a composite unity.
