“My father encountered many situations, as a manager, where people he had trained were promoted over him due to the color of his skin,” Catina explains. “So he left that world and raised us to build our own thing that could not be taken away. The first business Brad Gamlin ever started was a production company, when he was just 15 years old. He and his wife, Debbie, have been married for 35 years, and she’s been part of Save 6 since day one. The couple has twins, Jessica and Austin, who are now in their twenties. Outside real estate, Larry enjoys traveling and beachgoing. Save 6 has been a blessing to Larry’s family life, offering him the type of flexibility many fathers only dream about. He’s able to take the business with him anywhere he goes, which is especially true because he’s not responsible for showing properties or holding open houses. As a father, husband, and business owner, Larry has learned a great deal about how to be successful at each. It hasn’t always been easy, but he’s been wise enough to continue working at it, day after day. “Family, particularly when your kids are young, is a lot of work. Be there and make time for your family. Clients are going to come and go, but your family won’t. You have to be available for your family. Take the time. Make the time,” Larry closes.”…
“My mother’s work ethic was incredible. For 20-plus years, she has run a jewelry business she started on her own,” Cara explains. “My dad has been in real estate for over 50 years. He owned a brokerage on Capitol Hill before I was born, then he decided to move to investment.”
A feeling of fulfillment has long been something Jin has sought. Initially, her quest for fulfillment through service led her into social work. Before her real estate career, Jin spent 16 years as a social worker, including 12 years with the Loudoun County Public Schools.
With interest rates and prices on the rise, agents are trying to convince clients that homeownership is the way to go. “If REALTORS® don’t have homeownership, they don’t have a job,” Molly Flory explains. Molly is a senior account executive with Old Republic Home Protection. In an article by CNBC, roughly two thirds of homeowners had to fix an unexpected home issue within the first year of living in their home. They reported spending more than a $1,000 to fix the issue. “People are paying top dollar to get into their homes right now,” Molly says. “Let's say, two months after someone moves into their home, the heat pump goes out. That’s where Old Republic would come in, and we would repair or replace that heat pump.” After providing the service, Old Republic follows up with the agent to let them know that they are taking care of their client after closing. Molly explains that, while agents deliver homeownership, ORHP is there to take care of homeownership. “We walk hand-in-hand with Realtors to protect them and their clients,” Molly adds.…

Jordan’s motivation to succeed was born out of necessity, when he was diagnosed in elementary school with severe dyslexia. “My teachers told my mom that it would be very difficult for me to learn how to read and write, and that I probably wouldn’t graduate from high school, much less go to college,” says Jordan. “My mom wouldn’t accept that, so she found a private school that was able to give me the support I needed. The environment was encouraging, and I became so motivated to defy the odds. All I wanted was to accomplish all the things they said I wouldn’t be able to do.”…
Back in 2017, Andy’s father played golf with an owner of a home inspection company who was looking to not only sell his business but train the new owner in the art of home inspection services. “When I started real estate, it was a very intimidating move to go from a salaried job with paid vacations to basically becoming a business owner,” Lizzie recalls. “But I found a mentor who had been in real estate for 40-plus years. He mentored me for about two years, helping me really get started... I started farming my neighborhood and hosting an open house every weekend for other agents.
