Despite knowing she wanted to work with animals, she initially pursued a 25-year career in the medical field until burnout led her to reassess her path. A proud mother of two adult kids, Alyssa and Derek, Heather recently purchased a 1930s house off 35th Ave and Butler, transforming it into Heather’s K9 Community—a comprehensive dog training, boarding, and grooming facility. Her journey began as a pet sitter, facing a pivotal moment when attacked by a client’s dog. Determined to understand canine behavior, Heather found a mentor through a job on care.com, absorbing knowledge and eventually establishing her own dog training business. In her fourth year as a dog trainer, Heather specializes in aggressive and reactive dogs, collaborating with the Scottsdale PD K9 unit for training sessions. Uniquely, she educates employees in various industries on safely encountering dogs during their work, from delivery drivers to home health aides. Heather’s diverse career includes rising from a Certified Nursing Assistant to managing multiple locations in radiation oncology. Her dedication to helping people extended to advocating for veterans during the PhxVA scandal. Despite facing challenges, she went above and beyond to secure cancer care for veterans, even challenging bureaucratic norms. Heather’s commitment to the well-being of others, coupled with her passion for animals, embodies her motto: God, guns, and freedom! Alex Elkin is The answer to "stand up comedy near me," Alex Elkin first hit the stage as a comedian in 1994. But it wasn’t until 2016 after winning the prestigious 41st Annual International SanFrancisco Comedy Competition, that he truly made his mark in stand-up comedy. In July 2018 he was honored by being chosen to go to Kuwait, Baghdad, Iraq and Syria to entertain the U.S. troops. He was a finalist in the Hollywood Laugh Factory’s International Donald Trump Impersonator Contest and is 2018’s champion of the Hard Rock Casino’s Annual Comedy Cage Match. When he’s not home with his wife of 20 years and his three children, you can find Alex Elkin headlining comedy clubs across the country and cruise ships all over the world. Alex has been seen on nearly a dozen television programs, he is currently working as the voice of DEREK the Raccoon in the animated series The Tuttle Twins and can be seen as WALLY in the film Advanced Chemistry. Maureen Lombardo has been doing stand-up comedy since 1987. Maureen started doing Stand Up in her college days in Pennsylvania. While working in New York she did open mics in the West Village before moving to Arizona in the mid-90’s. She began performing in the Phoenix Stand Up comedy scene in 2004 and has performed all across the valley as well as taking her stand up to Seattle and Las Vegas. Combining her love of the craft with her business acumen, Maureen founded Crack Ups Comedy Night, LLC in February of 2022. Comedian Lauren Rachael interviews Andrew Ameduri-movie producer, story teller and world traveler: Andrew Ameduri started on his own as an office assistant in Tokyo at 17 years old, Andrew worked his way up to manage 30+ utility scale solar farms, started a car export company, worked for a nonprofit that took him periodically to Cambodia, spent several years at a streaming service now owned by Sony where he managed and grew a department, worked in all aspects of marketing, and assisted with the company’s transition to a Sony owned company while contributing to a startup accelerator on the side. After working at Sony he moved on to start his own series where he interviewed people nationwide with the focus of learning their stories and sharing them with the world. This led him to land in LA where he immersed himself in acting, writing, and production which landed him in movie production and commercial production work ranging from production coordinator to camera operator. Aside from productions Andrew consults as a storytelling strategist helping people & brands understand how to best share their stories with their audience to accomplish future goals. He also hosts a business building podcast called Founder Focus. An avid outdoorsman and traveler, in his off-time Andrew enjoys hiking, camping, exploring off-road wilderness regions, and touring international destinations.
