In today’s episode, we’re talking with Shaharima Parvin, Senior Assistant Librarian at East West University in Bangladesh and a CrossRef Ambassador. Shaharima is interviewed by Matthew Ismail, a Conference Director, and Editor in Chief of the Charleston Briefings.

Shaharima talks with Matthew about the structure of the higher education system within Bangladesh. She also discusses open educational resources and how they’re being used in Bagladesh, and how advocating for the use of OER’s and open access educational materials with stakeholders is very important to her. Also, whether cooperation in higher education is possible within South Asia when there are so many different languages and different cultures present.
