Content Warning: This episode covers topics of Sexual Assault and PTSD.
Have you ever felt the need to build brick walls around your heart? Around your mind? Have you locked doors to protect your heart?
How does it feel to live locked behind those doors?
What happens when those doors come blasting open and how do you deal with that?
In this episode, my guest, Kim Lengling, talks about how a sexual assault as a young woman had her become a 'wall builder' and how she dealt with that wall crumbling. Her story is one of resilience, self worth, and showing the power of taking control of a very difficult situation.
Her story shows how the power of healthy healing can change your life and how finding peace can truly shift your heart at a soul level.
Kim Lengling is a Christian and veteran living with PTSD from MST (Military Sexual Assault). She began writing in 2004 and is an author and freelance writer. She has found over the years that her writing is cathartic. She believes sharing her story as well as other's stories, helps to provide a light where there may be none. She believes in changing the world, or someone's world, one story at a time.
