Jules, Rachel, and Stephanie chat about:

  • how rejection can make you better
  • and ways to handle rejection

If you have a question you'd like us to discuss feel free to email us at hello@artistssoar.com

Key Talking Points
  • Julie has changed her mindset to realize that you have to get a ton of 'Nos" before you get a yes.
  • Recognize when you are experiencing imposter syndrome.
  • You have to take the gut punch of rejection and keep going.
  • Turn the negative into a positive.
  • You have to have a failure rate, and take the shots.
  • Evaluate and talk with other artists to see what is working for others.
  • Have some friends mill about in your booth to pique interest. Do not be on your phone!
  • Consider giving a survey to find out what the audience or email subscriber wants.
  • Test different ways of doing things (A/B testing).
  • Mindset is the #1 thing to watch.
  • #2 Figure out how to turn it into a positive
  • Consider having a document that you can actually write what you want to say to get it out of the way (never share)
  • Create a "Fabulous File" to put all of the positive things people have said about your work.
  • Write down what hurt you and burn the note.
