David has been involved in Facilities Management since the mid 1990's, working with a number of leading FM suppliers providing full marketing and communication support, with a specialism in new media. Responsible for the creation of numerous intranets and websites for both commercial organisations and for many of the FM associations including the BIFM, FMA and EuroFM in the early 2000's – David went on to build the pioneering online news and information site for the FM sector: www.i-fm.net <http://www.i-fm.net/

He has been actively involved in the FM industry, and organises the FM industry conference: Workplace Futures, and also organises the Technology in FM awards. He has served two terms on the BIFM Members Council as the individuals members representative and was a board director of the FMA for a decade, until it merged into the Buildings Future Group in 2013. He was also the Chair of the FM judges of the Women in the City awards, and was the Treasurer of the BIFM SIG Women in FM for four years before taking up the role as treasurer & board director of the IFMA UK Chapter.

David is an active and often outspoken protagonist for the FM sector, he believes passionately in the role the FM sector has to play for the economy, business and the community.
Workplace futures is back with a live event at One Great George Street, London, on 22nd February 2022. The conference will be held around a theme related to the emerging concerns of the time. FM & Sustainability: the social, environmental and commercial challenge is the theme for the upcoming conference. The conference aims to cover both the opportunities and challenges in the three fields mentioned in the topic. I will be attending the event. Hope to see you.
