Processing of filled tubular plates is an operation not given its due importance. It is necessary for manufacturers to understand how battery life and performance can be affected due to a casual approach in this department.

Improper processing of filled tubular plates:

  • can result in inconsistent sulfation reaction
  • can raise temperatures to dangerous levels and damage the plates
  • may cause inconsistent formation of plates
  • will surely affect the next process viz. charging of batteries

A scientific approach to this often-neglected process is very much required.
