Happy New Year 2025! Sixty-Two Years ago, Guy Lombardo and his brothers Carmen and Lebert (with help from Victor!) produced an amazing feat of musical and technical excellence. Shortly after Michael Todd's film "Around the World in Eighty Days," came a chance to present the musical to Long Islanders complete with a Hot Air Balloon. An all-star legendary cast headed by Fritz Weaver, with Elaine Malbin; with the French Actor, Robert Clary (Hogan's Heroes), and a young kid from Brooklyn, Dom Deluise! This show was presented months before the NY World's Fair. Sound Century has digitized and remastered this classic with the expertise of Park Peters (Audio Park) and remastered by Richard Arnold Beattie, (Richard Arnold Beattie, Inc) exclusively for Legends953.com and The Beattie Network. "There has been great radio theater through the years," says Beattie, but no one has heard audio quite like what was recorded from 1954 to 1977 at Jones Beach!
