What do you do when you are completely tapped out and realize that you have nothing left to give? You are not able to communicate in the way that you normally do, you can't be there for people in the way that you want to, and you can't even find the words to say the things that you want to say and that came so easily to you before. You take a break and stop talking, that's what you do. You go inward, retreat inside yourself. You take time to laugh, cry, think, be. And one day you will feel better, come out of your shell, and feel more like yourself again. You always do. But it's important to give yourself time and space and experience the feelings you are having about all of the many things you are facing this year. There's so much to learn this year about grieving, patience, stamina, resilience, and also about finding the bright spots during challenges. Thank you for listening today as I talk about the break from words that I have taken for the last 7 weeks or so. The quote I read at the end of the episode is from Don Quixote and this is it: All these squalls to which we have been subjected are signs that the weather will soon improve and things will go well for us, because it is not possible for the bad or the good to endure forever, and from this it follows that since the bad has lasted so long, the good is close at hand.
