This week we welcome Ryan Harrell, owner of American Tattoo Society. American Tattoo Society started when Nicole Harrell risked it all to buy her first piercing and tattoo shop in Fayetteville, NC. Soon after, Ryan left his job to join her in growing this local business with roots in the military community. Fast forward and now American Tattoo Society is a premier tattoo brand, with the distinguished honor of being the only shops allowed to tattoo on military installations. Currently, operating at 4 military bases, they are quickly expanding to 9, and are looking to the future with a possibility of 20 locations. AST provides high end artistry, from some of the worlds best tattoo artist, at a fair price that military members and veterans can trust. Ryan talks about meeting with an artist, what information to have when discussing a tattoo design, things to look for when choosing an artist and shop, and the all important aftercare. Most importantly, Ryan talks about the importance of their relationship with the military community, and why he and Nicole strive to provide military members with a better tattoo experience. So if the buzzing sounds of needles make you want to run out and get some ink, this is the episode for you!
