Camán Caint S05E19: Season 5 finale sees Kilkenny's Dicksboro crowned All-Ireland senior camogie club champions for 2023
Manage episode 390328641 series 2978858
It's the last podcast of the club season and the last podcast of the year as Camán Caint gets set for a winter break before the inter-county campaigns begin in January.
But what a way to finish the season by celebrating Kilkenny's Dicksboro being crowned All-Ireland senior camogie club champions for the first time ever, in the process ending a 17-year wait for a senior title to come back to Kilkenny following the successes of St. Lachtains in the early noughties.
We'll catch up with Dickboro's Tom O'Donoghue to reflect on Sunday's All-Ireland final win, Dicksboro manager Donal Carroll, players Caoimhe Dowling, Ciara O'Shea, Kirsty Maher, Amy Clifford and more from the Kilkenny, Leinster and All-Ireland champions.
For the final time this year, join Martin Quilty, Áine Farrell, Paula Dowling and Lillian Holohan for all the ins and outs, wrapping up with some reflections from Martin on the current state of play of camogie in Kilkenny as he departs the county setup to take over as chairperson of Leinster Camogie in the new year (and we wish him all the best in his new role too) with each of the team sharing their own wishes for developments on the club and inter-county camogie scene for 2024.
