Maria Tran, wears a lot of hats in this industry from Acting on screen to producing and writing. She realised at a very young age that her interest in filming making lies in the martial art genre. Maria spoke to us about her journey through the industry as an ethnic woman who is batttling through a genre that traditionally was run by males. Martial art genre is an incredibly important genre because it introduced reality of combat on to our screens. Through its evolution the genre has impacted and changed the way combat/stunt choreography is done. Maria gives us insights in how to be absolutely truthful to yourself and find a niche for yourself. She has worked international including along side Jackie Chan. We were really lucky to have her on our podcast and share wisdom in this industry. She is about to release another film which we would like to wish her CHOOKAS on and we will be there for its premiere. Thank you once again Maria.
