Sinn Féin claims Clare families would be "far better off" under its alternative budget. It's promising to deliver 21,500 social and affordable homes next year alone and to increase investment in wastewater and water infrastructure by €100m. The main opposition party is also pledging to abolish apprenticeship fees and universal social charge on the first €45,000 of earnings, while introducing a universal €450 energy credit and limiting private childcare costs to €10 per day. Sinn Féin Finance Spokesperson Donegal TD Pearse Doherty insists the policies can end the housing crisis and improve the cost of living.
