Ministry work involves helping people through many difficult and painful life circumstances. And one of the hardest is helping people who are dealing with an addiction. There are a lot of ways that pastors and other Christian leaders can help people when they are fighting addiction, but one of the most basic ways is to offer practical, Christ-centered, appropriate resources.

But what are some of those resources?

Here at The iHope Center, that is one of the most common questions we hear from local pastors. So if you’ve ever found yourself feeling stuck in how to help someone who is fighting an addiction, you are not alone.

Today’s episode will not offer miracle solutions. We are not medical doctors, nor do we specialize in addictions counseling. But we will share some helpful, practical resources to get you started!

Whether someone is struggling with alcohol, drugs, gambling, pornography or other addictions - even if they are using these things in dangerous ways but perhaps not technically “addicted” - you can feel more confident in offering them help with some resources in your back pocket.

Let’s dive in.
