Welcome to the CKCB Canada Binge! This is the first of at least 4 Canadian true crime cases in a row! And, joining us on this episode are Christie and Melissa of the Buried Motives Podcast!

This episode is on Alan Legere, someone who could have been classified as the first incel. He had a typical rough upbringing that could be expected for any kid whose father walked out on him. But, he took it personally, like the world was conspiring against him.

This attitude spilled into adulthood, where he began committing robberies, and assaults, and later, sexual assault attempts. People owed him their wealth, and women owed him sex, and he was going to take it.

He committed his first murder by robbing an elderly couple. He killed the man, and sexually assaulted the woman, and thought he killed her, but she survived. He was arrested, but escaped, and for several months, he terrorized the small town of Miramichi. He robbed, and murdered, and had the town in panic, and stayed one step ahead of the police until he was finally caught, and locked away for good.
