  • The Power of Habits • Charles Duhigg
  • Competing Against Luck • Clayton M Christensen, Taddy Hall, Karen Dillon, David S. Duncan
  • The Making of a Manager • Julie Zhuo

Extrait - en anglais - du livre The Making of a Manager (l'extrait lu est traduit par François-Xavier) :

“One-on-ones should be focused on your report and what would help him be more successful, not on you and what you need.
If you’re looking for a status update, use another channel […]
Remember that your job is to be a multiplier for your people […] How can you achieve a stellar 1:1s? The answer is preparation […]

  • Discuss top priorities. What are the one, two or three most critical outcomes for your report…
  • Calibrate what “great” look like. Do you have a shared vision of what you’re working toward? Are you sync about goals or expectations?
  • Share feedback. What feedback can you give that will help your report…
  • Reflect how thing are going. Once in a while, it’s useful to zoom out and talk about your report’s general state of mind…

Your job as a manager isn’t to dole out advice or save the day - it’s to empower your report fo find the answer herself.”

Les livres choisis par Julie Muckensturm (Designeuse & Illustratrice Freelance) sont :

  • Building a Storybrand • Donald Miller
  • The History of Graphic Design • Julius Wiedemann, Jens Müller
