Dr. Jenkins welcomes us into his personal experiences and weaves a tapestry with stories on race and racism, the impact of the external realities on the internal world of an African American psychoanalyst, and the assumptions and expectations of patients and colleagues. All of this with a nuanced discourse and calm demeanor, a refreshing perspective in our polarized and agitated world.
