Manage episode 333845415 series 3009459
We are joined by William Yell, owner of Featherstone Brewery and Entrepid Brewing in Makhanda or Grahamstown.
The small town of Grahamstown has a vibrant mix of culture and history and it once acted as the frontier between the British Cape Colony and Xhosa territories. Grahamastown is situated about 110km northeast of Port Elizabeth and is home to Rhodes University and a number of excellent schools such as St Andrews and Kingswood College. The National Arts Festival which takes place in June/July attracts some 50000 every year.
The brewery is named after Featherstone Kloof a beautiful ravine just outside Grahamstown.
William is looking forward to welcoming beer people to his beer garden which will be closer to the main national road, soon.
