• If you have 5 minutes, go outside. Look around and marvel at the things that you can see with your eyes, hear with your ears, smell with your nose, and touch with your hands. While you’re out there, think about the things that you love doing. Make a mental note of what you want to do more of.
• If you have 50 minutes, call or visit someone really important in your life who you feel gives you a good perspective shift. If you have a grandparent or someone who has lived a lot of lifetimes, call them. Ask them questions like I asked Jim. Listen for the answers and find joy in the things they talk about that may be so different from what you know. Go into the conversation with zero expectations but stay present to what wisdom you may uncover.
