Governance Bites #35: "greenwashing" with Professor Coral Ingley
Manage episode 429581259 series 3565323
Professor Coral Ingley was an Associate Professor of Management at Auckland University of Technology. She has a PhD in governance (the first person in New Zealand to do so), and teaches governance in New Zealand and around the world. Professor Ingley is on the board of Governance New Zealand, and the educational board of its international body, the Chartered Governance Institute.
In this conversation, Mark asks Coral about 'greenwashing', and what a board can do to help avoid accusations of greenwashing. They also discuss the benefits of running a business according to principles of environmental, social and governance (ESG). Mark also asks Coral what advice she would give to someone starting a governance career.
