In the second part of the visit, we head outdoors and visit the UAE's oldest mangrove forest and learn more about the birds that call the area their home.
The Khor Kalba Mangrove Centre is one of the most recent ecotourism projects in Kalba, reflecting the area’s rich ecological terrain. Due to its unique location in the middle of an ancient stand of mangroves, visitors taking the outdoor tour have an opportunity to see the oldest mangrove forest in the Emirates, with trees up to 8 meters tall.
