The offseason is over and Grizzlies' basketball is back. The Core Four boys open the show by talking about their reactions to the opening three games of the 2022-23 campaign. Xavier was in attendance for the home opener and loved the energy Memphis was bringing. New Segment Alert: History with Dave. Dave schools his younger co-hosts on where Ja's incredible start to the year ranks among other Grizzlies greats. Averaging 34.3 points per game through their first three games, Morant is clearly carrying his team. However, could this massive workload actually spell trouble for Memphis if they don't help their young star? In Kleiman Corner, the depth at the wing position is examined. With no Dillon Brooks or Zaire Williams to open the year guys like John Konchar, David Roddy, and Jake Laravia were asked to step into significant roles to keep the team afloat. Matt looks at the history of championship rosters to argue that the wing position has been the key to winning titles over the past decade. The guy he has his eyes on to take the Grizzlies to the next level? The answer resides in Phoenix. This League is incredible and has storylines galore. The guys check in with the rest of the Association in their third segment giving their takes on Boston and Golden State's potential for repeating as conference champions. Plus: the Suns were the best team in basketball last season and have cratered since the Western Conference finals, Matt is keeping his eyes on the Suns' situation after sitting Chris Paul in their comeback win against Dallas before they lost to Portland. To close the show, the Core Four heads to the Trophy Case to give out some awards. Ja earns some much-deserved praise from Dave and reveals his top three favorite actors of all time. Matt gives out the first of many Mike Miller awards for the best Grizzlies bench player through the first week of the season.
