Asaf Elia-Shalev is an Israeli-American journalist with Mizrahi roots. Based in Los-Angeles, he works as an investigative reporter for the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. He was the historian behind the 2022 re-release of the Israeli Black Panthers Haggadah. He recently published a narrative nonfiction book titled, “Israel's Black Panthers: The Radicals Who Punctured a Nation's Founding Myth.”
