Julia Aziz, LCSW-S, Rev. is a holistic psychotherapist, ceremonialist, teacher, and author. With a psychospiritual lens integrating mind-body and traditional healing tools, Julia's work has focused on women who spend much of their time and energy attending to other people's needs. She supports helping professionals in reclaiming, rewilding, and empowering themselves through the challenges of burnout, compassion fatigue, perfectionism, high sensitivity, anxiety, and grief. In addition to being a therapist for therapists, she offers the Release & Empower Women’s Circle, a sacred space for helping professionals, moms, and other emotional caregivers to heal together through creative, authentic expression and community. She is also the author of two books, Lessons of Labor and When You're Having A Hard Time: The Little Book That Listens.

In this episode, we talk about how therapists need a perspective shift in our approach to work, a new model of self-healing and the importance of nourishing our own spiritual life. We talk about being heart-centered and big-hearted therapists, managing burnout, finding support and how to practice emotional release techniques for our own wellness. If you want to care for your clients without carrying the work, this episode is for you!
