Award-winning author Janice Boekhoff (pronounced Beau-cough) is a former Research Geologist who began writing as a way to express her love of science and all the unique ideas colliding in her head. A Midwest native, she now lives in Iowa with her hubby, three basketball-loving kids, and one adorable Vizsla.
The Earth Hunters, the first in the series, introduces Elery Hearst, who is driven by a deep-seated faith, embarks on a treacherous quest to unearth the truth about the disappearance of her brother, Garrick. In the desert’s enigmatic canyons, her search thrusts her into the life of Lucan Milner, a man battling his own demons. Together, they navigate a dangerous landscape as they delve into the mystery of the Lost Dutchman’s Mine. Their adventure reveals that the truest treasures are those found not in the earth but in the resilience of the human spirit and the power of faith and love. But will the cost be more than they bargained for?

She's just a bad driver or is something more sinister behind the discovery? In the third book, The last Line A Phoebe Korneal Mystery, an accidental death on a zipline and a kidnapping? Janice Pratt
Since I can remember, I have been a reader, often having several books going at the same time. If anyone was my teacher, it was the wonderful authors who shared their hearts and souls with me through their stories. I laughed, cried, dreamed, and learned from the stories they shared. My first published story was in 1999 and was a short story in a book of stories about children and the crazy things they do. While it was just a couple of thousand words, I remember the excitement of being accepted into the world of authors. Today I work on stories that talk about the amazing power that children have and the mark they can make on the world. I hope to inspire children to feel into their truth and know that they can make a difference. If just one word, one paragraph, or one story can change a child’s life, I too feel like I have made a difference in the world. Thank you for reading my stories. I am eternally grateful.
