Help your mind stay out of the detail of your life situation. It's painful in there!

In this weekend bonus episode we used examples of what it means to let go of the detail such as taking away the person's face, name and things they have done or have not done. If we stay there, we just focus our awareness on the other person and we will receive feedback from our life story that supports our complaints, views, feelings and emotions about the situation. We start to even block out anything that doesn't support our view.

We used an example of a partner in a relationship that might not be choosing us as well as a boss/coworkers that you don't feel considered. Listen to what story you share with friends, other coworkers, your inner thoughts circling about them, your verbal complaints. They will all be clues for your mirror reflection work. Now, take away the details (the faces, the names, the things they did/didn't do). Now, remember what you complained about...what was it? Did you feel like you weren't considered? Unworthy? Unlovable? Not chosen? Not good enough? Unheard. Unnoticed? Invisible? At this point you may have memories of where this originally came from in childhood, previous partners, relationships, jobs etc. You'll be able to see the different faces and names, but this same underlying limiting belief keeping us in the loop of the detail.

Our awareness of the detail becomes the gift. If we can start acting, thinking and being like that limiting belief (in the opposite way) eg: choosing self. If we felt unlovable or invisible or unheard, we can start focusing on this in our life in new ways. It's like rewriting your new story of the opposite. Every time we want to go the well worn path of complaining or focusing on the other person, bring in the mirror (in your imagination) as the reminder and take action in the new direction. Now, instead of focusing on what is missing, you are creating that new way of being for your aligned life. You can start that art class or take that new job.

Be curious about being this new way. Be curious about reversing that limiting belief of "not being chosen" to choosing yourself in each moment. Remember that could be small or large, it's not the scale that matters. Watch what starts to change around you when you embody this new way of being, new actions, new voice, new thought processes and your new focus of attention.

The "how" in your life story is not your problem. That will unfold naturally, so let go and surrender. Allow yourself to respond as life unfolds...just remember where your focus is...OUT of the detail!
