Dr. Rodríguez's journey began in East Los Angeles, attending local schools before finding her passion for psychology at Occidental College. Fulfilling her dream, she became a professor at her alma mater and taught a range of impactful courses, including Social Psychology, Sociopolitics of Race, and Intergroup Relations and Dialogue. Her interdisciplinary interests encompass social identity, politics, culture, and inclusive pedagogies. Dr. Rodríguez's commitment to dialogue-based teaching led her to establish the Intergroup Dialogue Program at Occidental, providing students with peer-facilitated, credited courses. Currently, she continues her work in promoting dialogue as a member of the board of directors at the Difficult Dialogue National Resource Center.
