Episode 211: Friday Lookback - What The Fed Did and Didn't Say About The Rate Cut
Host: Simon Castillo
Join our host Simon Castillo for a one on one Friday Look Back episode as he reflects on:

  • The Fed’s interest rate cut is a proactive measure aimed at stabilizing the economy. While it may not immediately lower borrowing costs for real estate investors, it sets a tone for future economic conditions.
  • The inverted yield curve has historically indicated a potential economic slowdown. With the recent rate cut, investors should monitor the yield on the 10-year treasury for clues on long-term financing costs.
  • Rate-cutting cycles tend to happen more swiftly than rate hikes. This suggests investors should be prepared for potential rapid shifts in the market environment.
  • As interest rates fall, real estate investors need to remain adaptable in their strategies. Monitoring market trends will be essential for capitalizing on new opportunities.
