Reading and interpreting Genesis Chapter 4. Adam and Eve, only humans on the planet according to this story, have two children Cain and Abel. Very first human born, Cain, becomes a murderer when he slays his brother Abel. Lord doesn't want others to kill Cain as a result so he puts a mark on him (and according to Mormon's reference to Moses in the Pearl of Great Price), he's turned black. Just four chapters into this holy book and neither God, nor Lord God, nor Lord is ruling but rather a giant wall of confusion.
