Katie Day trained at The Centre Performing Arts College in London where she qualified as a teacher of Ballet, Tap and Modern with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance. She now shares her expertise across the South teaching the ISTD syllabus as a specialist guest teacher for various dance schools. Katie is a former teacher for the Junior Conservatoire at Tring (Arts Ed) and a Centre Co-Ordinator for the prestigious Royal Ballet School’s Junior Associate Scheme. She now runs Shine Studios as well as offering dance business consultancy and being mum to Walter.
Being in love with dance her whole life, Katie followed her passion for passing on her love of dance and is co-owner of Shine Studios. She is now a trained life coach, has won ‘Dance School of the Year 2020’, has contacts at Move It at London’s Excel and features on podcasts such as ‘Dance Boss’ helping other dance teachers and studio owners with tips and hacks to help with the business side of running a dance school; “I believe business doesn’t haven’t be hard and by giving advice to others I hope to ease the juggle!”
