We are talking about a natural remedy in this episode, and we think everyone should know about it. There is an ancient plant that has long been used for mental health and wellness, digestion, sleep, pain relief, period relief, fertility, menopause...so many common ailments. And that plant, saffron, is coming up in more and more in conversations for us as we and so many others look for natural remedies over pharmaceuticals. Even WebMD acknowledges that saffron may" alter mood, kill cancer cells, decrease swelling, and act like antioxidants." So we wanted to talk to Nikki Bostwick, founder of The Fullest, because we were falling in love with some of her saffron products we had tried. Nikki says, "Growing up as an Iranian American, I knew firsthand the benefits of the spice. My mother always had a vial of it in the fridge and I loved to take it by the dropperfuls because it would make me laugh and laugh and laugh." After all, its known as the "Happy Spice"! But when Nikki found that saffron helped her with her ADHD, aches and pains, menstrual cramps, even childbirth--she knew she had to share what she knew with others. And we LOVED learning from her the science behind saffron and know you will, too.
