This was one of the worst election rules in Oregon on top of many others that will cause more people to doubt the integrity of the election process and ultimately the results. Speaking of results, it is looking like we will see a new board majority here in Lane County next year. It seems like people are finally waking up to what LTD and the City of Eugene are planning under the "Moving Ahead" project at the same time activist are starting a drumbeat to stop the widening of Beltline over the Willamette River and Hwy 126 between Eugene and Veneta, all because "cars bad!" After years of bad-mouthing and trying to limit short-term rentals, they are asking folks to please open their homes for the World Track championships due to the shortage of hotels.
