It's the largest event in North American Sports and we're ready to talk the media coverage, analyze the mayhem and even, get nostalgic about the Super Bowl on the "Last Word on Sports Media Podcast."
Host T.J. Rives is ready to discuss the Chiefs-49ers invading Las Vegas with guests talking the scene and the the announcers. First, Richard Deitsch of The Athletic and his own Sports Media Podcast is on talking the CBS announce crew of Jim Nantz, Tony Romo and Tracy Wolfson, whom he just recently interviewed together about working their latest Super Bowl. Also, what does Richard think about the criticism of Tony Romo not being as enthused or engaed enough for the position he has and the money he makes?
Next, T.J. goes to Vegas and is joined on "radio row" early in the week by T.C. Martin of the 5 day a week "T.C. Martin Show" in the desert. How does early Super Bowl week compare to other big events like Heavyweight title fights, the Vegas Golden Knights playiing for a Stanley Cup and even, Formula One racing in the downtown strip? T.C. gives the takes.
Finally, some more convo on the "voices" calling Super Bowl LVIII on TV and Radio from Phil De Montmolin of the "Announcer Schedules Podcast." Phil shares where Jim Nantz on TV and Kevin Harlan on radio rank and also, gives insight on the list of the great announcers to call the biggest game. He and Mike Gill will be back with more on this feed later in the week as well.
It's all on the newest "Last Word on Sports Media Podcast" and follow/subscribe on Apple, Spreaker, Spotify, etc.!
