She is the George Gibbs Chair in Political Economy, the senior research fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, and an adjunct scholar at the Cato Institute. Dr. de Rugy was named in Politico Magazine's 2015 Guide to the Top 50 Thinkers, Doers and Visionaries transforming American Politics, and was a research fellow at the American Enterprise Institute as well as at Atlas Economic Research Foundation. Dr. Rugy received her master’s degree from the Paris Dauphine University and her Ph.D. in economics from the University of Paris-Sorbonne.
