The A's scored 20 earned runs on twenty-one hits off three Marlins pitchers- including a 10-run third inning- as they blasted Miami 20-4 in Oakland.

Brent Rooker hit a two-run home run and a three-run shot as part of a three-hit, 5 RBI day for the A's, who also got three hits apiece from Shea Langeliers, Darell Hernaiz and (former Marlin) J.J. Bleday, who homered and drove in four runs.

Bryan De La Cruz went 2-4 with a home run for the Marlins, but the story here is their complete inability to get anybody out.

It is the first 20-run game in baseball this season. It's also the A's sixth straight win, and eighth in their last nine games. Last season, the A's had baseball's worst record at 50-112, a number the Marlins look to be headed toward this season.

Saturday's loss dropped Miami to 9-26. The Marlins have lost two straight after sweeping the Colorado Rockies at home.

The two teams will wrap up this three-game series tomorrow. Sixto Sánchez (0-1) will take the mound for the Marlins, against the A's Joe Boyle. (2-4)
