About Janet Stegman:

Janet Stegman is often regarded as a ‘Healer Advisor Extraordinaire’. She was thrust upon this career, not by choice, but rather by happenstance.

At 16, Janet developed a debilitating and uncontrollable eating disorder, feeling as if a monster inside her was forcing her to eat incessantly. She constantly battled internal voices arguing over her desire to eat despite wanting to lose weight. This struggle led to consuming entire cakes, loaves of bread with butter and honey, quarts of milk, and pints of vanilla Hagen Daz, leaving her painfully stuffed. This pattern persisted for three years, ultimately forcing her to drop out of her voice major at UCLA due to the constant pain from overeating.

Janet has over 15 years of experience and has trained to support people in their recovery journey. Healing from addiction, substance abuse, eating disorders, and depression is a long, winding road, and her unique perspective and highly-innovative strategies help people tackle the root cause and find lasting freedom.

In this episode, your hosts, Jason and Scott, together with Janet Stegman discuss:

  • Transitioning from a legal background to emotional healing and overcoming personal challenges
  • Real-life success stories of individuals who have conquered addiction and adversity
  • The power of support systems and not facing emotional wounds in isolation
  • Strategies for overcoming investment fears and the emotional hurdles tied to financial decisions
  • Adopting a growth mindset and leveraging the sacrifices of our predecessors to seize today's opportunities

Key Takeaways:

  • Stepping into the realm of emotional healing brings profound impacts on personal growth, paving the way to tackle financial endeavors with a stronger, clearer mindset.
  • Acknowledgement of the necessity for support and community illustrates that healing and success are collaborative efforts rather than solitary battles.
  • Addressing isolation tendencies through actionable tools such as EFT and journaling leads to breaking negative cycles and opens pathways to personal and financial fulfillment.
  • Insight on investment phobias can be transformative, and with the right emotional tools, one unlocks the courage to make informed financial moves.
  • Recognition that embracing ambition and the pursuit of growth is not only natural but also made viable by the labors and victories of the ones who came before us.

"Healing the emotional scars is crucial for clear investment decisions and true financial legacy.” — Janet Stegman
